A healthy residential and living community - that is the idea behind Casa Vita. With the future in mind, the nearly 100 apartments are made of timber. Timber buildings are very sustainable, store CO2 and can be reused in the future. Furthermore, attention has been paid to creating a healthy living environment. It has been shown that living in a naturally designed environment will lead to a healthier and more conscious lifestyle. The buildings will be situated in a parklike landscape where biodiversity is enhanced by means of various local plants and footpaths invite people to walk around and meet each other.

The area offers different price ranges for a broad target group to allow both the young and the old to find a new place to live here, close to the city center of Pijnacker. The buildings and the new park enhance the existing village-like residential environment. The future residents will live in a mixed residential area, with different types of owner-occupied and rental apartments for first-time buyers and for people who are moving up the housing ladder. Casa Vita offers something for both target groups. The area also offers lifetime homes for senior  citizens. These homes are based on Blauwhoed's Senior Smart Living concept.

Blauwhoed is developing Casa Vita jointly with the future residents, surrounding neighbors, housing corporation Rondom Wonen and the municipality of Pijnacker-Nootdorp. During various co-creation sessions, we are jointly developing a neighborhood in which 'ownership' has been embedded from the start. A neighborhood for people to be proud of and continue to be so. In addition to the design of the landscape and the layout of the residences, themes such as sustainability, mobility, interaction and health are also discussed during the co-creation sessions.
